Did he bail out? Not to the best of my Knowledge.
Where? Wesseling Germany, Cologne.

Last contact or conversation just prior to or at time of loss of plane: "We're to leave her".

Any explanation of his fate based in part or wholly on supposition: Lt. Lord kept the ship in formation on the bomb run dispite the difficulties caused by several previous hits. The run was 12,5 minutes long and after dropping the bombs and suffering additional hits; he gave the order to bail out. The explosion occured before anyone bailed out.
Total number of missions of above crew member: 5 I'm mot sure because he was grounded a few days with ear trouble.
Dates and destinations if possible: Ossnabruck Sept 27-28. Cologne 4 times in the first two weeks of October 44. I am not positive of this information.
